Manoeuvring a BBQ and making progress…can it be done?
I always want my clients to enjoy life whilst making progress. And you can 100% treat yourself to a high calorie meal but we can’t always say yes. Now the weather is set to become bloody beautiful I imagine you’ll be looking to host your own BBQ’s or you’re gonna be invited to a few.
Here are my tips if you’d like to stay on plan and still be social….
🍔Protein is your friend! Burgers can be high fat but also high in protein so enjoy one or two.
🍔You’ll be getting your fats from the red meat so swerve the cheese to save calories.
🍔Aldi sell some amazing 3% fat burgers now so go mad!
🍔Put as much salad as you want on the plate. Getting your 5 a day in 🙌🏻
🍔Try and steer clear of the white stuff (ie coleslaw/potato salad) or just put a small amount on your plate. It’s much harder to track these and can be quite calorific so if you’re not bothered don’t bother!
🍔Alcohol: if you would like a drink stick to lower calorie drinks such as spirits with diet mixers. There are ‘light’ lagers now too which I think taste lovely 😁
🍔Have lower calorie options that day leading up to the event so you have a lot of calories to play with.
It’s important to note that if you have a healthy week, you can go over a little at the weekend and still make progress!
