Summer food

Summer food

My favourite meal in the summer months is a burger and chips πŸ˜‹ It is always deemed a higher calorie meal but it doesn't have to be! Aldi stock a 5% fat burger and M&S have a 3% fat one if you fancy! Trust me they both taste just as good if not better than the burgers with higher fat content. I melt 30% less fat cheese slice on top of mine and with a brioche bun it equates to 357 calories and 28g of protein! Get some salad in there and ketchup and low fat mayo πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Summer brings salad of course but don't be a basic bitch, add in some fruit πŸ’ I love spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes, chopped avocado, prawns, mango and a drizzle of lime juice over the top. Really low calorie and high protein, just what we want.

Last but definitely not least, baked pineapple salmon πŸ‘ŒπŸ»Random I know but so good.Β Preheat oven to 200, foil a large tray and lay pineapple slices flat. Season both sides of salmon and place on top of the pineapple.
In a bowl mix garlic, chilli sauce, ginger, 1 cal spray and red pepper flakes, brush over the salmon.Β Oven bake for 25 minutes and serve with green onions and a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
We added homemade chips and asparagus.

If you make these please tag me on insta in your stories @scarlettmacdonaldfitness I love to see it! Comment below if you'd like some more πŸ™ŒπŸ»
